Getting here is so easy
Getting to the Isle of Wight is simplicity itself, with a choice of four different departure points on the mainland, six different routes across the Solent and literally hundreds of crossings every day throughout the Summer - making the Isle of Wight ideal for coach tour and short break holidays alike.

All four ferry terminals are easily reached from the M27, which links into the major trunk roads and motorways serving the West Country, the Home Counties, London, the Midlands and North - and each of the terminals is conveniently close to a railway station, for those travelling by train.

Car ferries operate from Lymington to Yarmouth (
Wightlink), Southampton to East Cowes (Red Funnel) and Portsmouth to Fishbourne (Wightlink), with additional passenger only services provided by high speed catamarans and hovercraft from Southampton to Cowes and Portsmouth or Southsea to Ryde.
